| Caminha is synonymous with rich heritage. One example that stands out the most is its Mother Church. Discover the many corners and beautiful manor houses. Caminha is well known for its golden sandy beaches, and winds make it ideal for water sports. One of the most famous music festivals in the country takes place in Vilar de Mouros. Given that locals are people of faith, there are two major popular festivals in Caminha. Every year after Christmas, on the 27th of December, fishermen pay homage to the Lord of the Seafarers to demand protection for their lives and boats. The Saint Rita de Cássia festival is held every year on the second weekend of August. |
