HOW TO GET THERE AND WHAT TO DO...

Elxadai Parque is located on the top of a secluded hill in the Alentejo, only 3 km away from Elvas city centre, and is easily reached by car in about an hour and a half from Lisbon. Given its proximity to the Caia and Alqueva dams, it is the perfect spot to enjoy water sports in addition to the traditional hunting. With sight of Badajoz, Elvas is the most fortified city in Europe, also called the "Queen of the Border" for having the largest set of bastion fortifications in the world. Elvas Castle has hexagonal towers and holds the distinction of being our country’s first National Monument, since 1906.
