| Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has medieval streets with imposing whitewashed houses; the achievement of a culture made up of people simple but friendly, offering visitors the best in hospitality. The town has magnificent palaces, monasteries and churches with the typical attractiveness of the old walled cities. The tourist spot that arouses much curiosity among visitors is the Chapel of Bones, located in the Church of São Francisco, which walls are all decorated with human bones. At the entrance you are welcomed by the following text “We bones in here, wait for yours to join us”. Do not miss the Roman Temple of Diana. |
