| Mira is a very quiet area, in front of a lake that flows into an estuary. Get around the corners of Mira, through the 25 km of bike path that crosses lake areas, reed plantations and pine forests. Discover the colourful striped wooden houses in Costa Nova and enjoy the Barrinha Lagoon, which is ideal for water sports such as windsurfing, sailing and water skiing or rowing. Savour the cuisine of the region and try the “chanfana” (goat meat stew), the soft sweet eggs and the tile-baked sardines. Near Coimbra, be sure to visit one of the cities with the longest history in Portugal. |
