ORBITUR - A HISTÓRIA

Orbitur’s deed was signed on 9 November 1960, following a decision of a group of ten friends who started an innovative tourist project of Outdoor Hôtellerie. All these years later, and sharing the same passion for nature, we have modernized the company’s image because it is our aim to bring into your life more colour and festivity.

What Orbitur is today is the result of the commitment and hard work of all of us and of those who have worked for this company before us. Our vision, initiatives and dynamism will surely help us to achieve new goals. We are actively engaged in building a more surprising, modern and diversified company.

Orbitur is pioneer in the Outdoor Tourism business and holds a leading position in the Camping sector in Portugal, almost since the beginning of its activity. Customer’s recognition reinforces our commitment to fully comply with the definition of Orbitur’s slogan: “Trust us for camping in Portugal”. All of us who seek daily to do better to achieve greater customers’ satisfaction are proud to earn and deserve their trust.

Orbitur combines a product differentiation with a policy of rigor and customer-oriented service quality. In addition, adequate resources are provided to all its tourist units in order to ensure continuous improvement. Over the past years, we have increased our investment in the areas of leisure equipment and lodging comfort. We offer fully-equipped bungalows and mobile homes to please our customers.

Aware of the responsibilities underlying its leading position within nature tourism, Orbitur assumes an active role in the promotion of Portugal as a destination, and consequently is present in the main tourism fairs almost all over Europe.
